Alongside our partners at BRM Institute, we’re delighted to be celebrating a major milestone for the Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) training and certification program.
Launched in 2014, BRMP is the go-to certification for business relationship management professionals. Recently, the 12,000th BRMP candidate was certified!
Congratulations to everyone who has passed the BRMP exam!
To celebrate this milestone, we would like to share some of the feedback we have received from these candidates:
- "Very eye opening. Building relationships should truly be an intricate part in every organization's strategy for success. The depth and breadth of the course has elevated my ability to advise on strategic organizational matters. I am glad to have achieved my BRMP!"
- "BRMP certification helped me secure a new role in a new domain where I am managing business relationships at an enterprise level. Earlier I was managing it for a department. BRMP equipped me with formal knowledge of processes, tools, BRM house, pillars, key success factors, challenges and how to overcome them. I highly recommend this course to everyone who wants to pursue a career in BRM field; already there but not having a formal certification. My next target is CBRM."
- "One of the best experiences with training/learning for a certification. Content is great and easy to apply to daily work."
- "The information/body of knowledge is invaluable. The tools help to present the information in a very professional way to the business and senior management."
- "It was a great learning opportunity and created awareness about the Business Relationship Manager role that I wasn’t clearly aware. It’s a course I recommend to all organizations whether a BRMP role exists or not, as someone is performing that role regardless."
What is Business Relationship Management (BRM)?
Business relationship management (BRM) is a philosophy, capability, discipline, and role to evolve culture, build partnerships, drive value, and satisfy purpose.
With effective BRM expertise and policies in place, organizations can achieve:
- Trusted teams acting beyond departmental borders.
- Individually empowered employees looking outside their box.
- Relationship centered in all aspects.
- Infinite value, as it expands the focus of society from strategic partners, the value in satisfaction of personal purpose and societal impact.
With its focus on improving relationships among business partners and maximizing business value, the principles of business relationship management apply to everyone engaged in business, regardless of whether you are a BRM or a C-level executive.
The BRM Role
The Business Relationship Management Role serves as the strategic interface between a business function and one or more business partners to stimulate, surface, and shape business demand for the function’s business assets and capabilities. The BRM is a connector, orchestrator, and navigator between their function and one or more business units and external customers.
Developing BRM skills and expertise
Launched in 2014, BRMP courses provide a solid, foundation-level knowledge of Business Relationship Management. Participants will be able to demonstrate their understanding of key principles, techniques, tools and processes central to the BRM role and discipline.
Training and certification are underpinned by BRM Institute's Business Relationship Management Interactive Body of Knowledge (BRMBOK), available to Institute members via their website.
BRM Institute is the leading organization dedicated to the BRM discipline. The Institute provides world-class professional membership and development programs to advance the art and discipline of business relationship management worldwide. BRM Institute helps organizations grow their BRM capability to drive business strategy, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and champion a culture of creativity, innovation, and shared ownership across the enterprise.
